About the Role

This is a hands-on estimating role where technical expertise meets commercial sharpness.
You’ll take ownership of first-principles estimating across reinforced concrete and civil works — shaping accurate, competitive tenders that win work and build trust.

Working closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and the Pre-Contracts team, you’ll bring structure and strategy to every submission. Your day will include interpreting complex drawings, analysing methodology, identifying construction risks and opportunities, and ensuring pricing reflects real-world constructability.

Expect diversity — bridge structures, wind farms, tailings dams, substations, spillways, pipelines, and water storage projects — all designed to keep your estimating sharp and your career challenged.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate, first-principles cost estimates for civil and structural concrete projects.
• Review designs, drawings, and specifications to determine scope, risk, and pricing methodology.
• Analyse labour, plant, and materials for maximum efficiency and profitability.
• Coordinate tender submissions and ensure compliance with client requirements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, consultants, and suppliers to ensure technical accuracy and competitive outcomes.
• Mentor junior estimators, contributing to the growth and consistency of the team.
• Support value engineering and constructability assessments to enhance bid competitiveness.

About You

You’re a motivated, detail-driven professional who thrives in a team that delivers real results.
You bring:

• 10+ years in civil construction, with at least 6 in estimating.
• Solid understanding of reinforced concrete structures and earthworks.
• Proven background in FRP (Form, Reinforce, Pour) packages — bridges, culverts, foundations, and structural concrete.
• Experience using estimating tools such as Expert Estimation, Candy, or similar.
• Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• Strong commercial acumen, communication, and leadership qualities.
