Due to continued growth in the transport sector, this civil contractor has recently secured another 2 key projects and is seeking a project surveyor with knowledge & experience across road works, earthworks, drainage, urban developments, remediation works. Our client has a strong order book with further works already secured across Brisbane. You will be responsible for:

  • Have an understanding and ability to undertake control surveys including traverse and level adjustment. 
  • Conduct survey set-out duties as required onsite by the site management team (Project Manager, Site Supervisor, etc.). 
  • Provide survey reports as required including conformance, and basic volumetric calculations etc. 
  • Undertake surveys to allow progress claims to be supported. E.g. stockpile surveys, works complete etc. 
  • Ensure ‘measures ups and the necessary documentation are compiled efficiently
  • Some experience with Leica, Trimble or Topcon would be ideal
  • Ensure communication with manager/survey manager of any survey issues
  • Check geometry and dimensions of design
  • Manage works independently
  • Follow established data management procedure
  • Ensure survey set out marks
  • Interpret data from a variety of sources. 
  • Create files suitable for successful field use by electronic survey equipment, including models for Machine Guidance Systems. 
  • Understand errors in measurement and be able to determine the suitability of survey control monuments for projects.
