Your Role 🏗️
- Estimating/costing a range of civil projects from $50K - $5M
- Preparing tenders, including non-price submissions, for government and non-government clients
- Review and evaluate cost estimates.
- Post tender negotiations
- Reading and interpreting plans and specifications to evaluate sub-contractor packages across various trades and suppliers
- Working closely with the delivery team for the tender programs and delivery
- Maintaining client relationships
- Maintaining & developing subcontractor relationships
What you need 🔥
- 3–5+ years of civil estimating experience – 1st principles
- Tech-savvy with strong commercial nous – You see opportunities where others don’t.
- Background in roadworks, drainage, piling, retaining walls, or concrete works.
Experience with council and TMR projects (a big plus!). - Comfortable juggling multiple tenders in a high-stakes environment.
- Excellent communicator – You’ll be in front of key stakeholders.
- Got site experience? Even better, but not a dealbreaker.
- A natural problem-solver, dealmaker, and closer – You make things happen.
- Qualifications: A civil engineering degree with contractor-side experience is preferred.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional time management, negotiation, and communication abilities to manage multiple priorities effectively.
