The Role

You will lead from the front across DTMR and Council road and bridge projects throughout the Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast and Ipswich corridors. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will take ownership of site safety, drive short and medium-term construction programmes, coordinate crews and subcontractors, and work closely with the engineering team to solve problems in real time.

The work is varied, challenging and rewarding, covering earthworks, pavements, drainage, ground engineering and bridge construction. You will be trusted with real autonomy, supported by experienced leadership, and given the resources needed to deliver quality outcomes safely, on time and on budget.

You will bring:

  • Strong safety leadership and the ability to set the standard on site
  • Energy, commitment and the drive to contribute to a high-performing team
  • Proven experience in construction resource planning and managing site performance
  • Hands-on capability across civil infrastructure works
  • Confidence with daily reporting, cost coding and resource tracking
  • A sound understanding of DTMR specifications, safety, quality and environmental standards
  • The ability to manage multiple work fronts on complex sites
  • Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal

Essential Requirements

  • 10+ years’ experience delivering DTMR and Council road infrastructure projects across earthworks, drainage, services, pavements and slope stabilisation
  • A demonstrated ability to lead by example and drive a strong safety culture
  • Experience on projects typically valued from $5M to $35M+ with a Tier 2 or Tier 3 civil contractor
  • Trade background or equivalent hands-on construction experience will be highly regarded.
  • A commercial mindset, with the ability to contribute to project performance and earn legitimate bonus outcomes
