Civil Estimator | Transition from Project Engineering

You've spent years delivering major civil infrastructure.

You understand how projects are built, how programmes succeed, and where things can go wrong.

Now imagine using that experience before construction even begins.

We're partnering exclusively with one of Queensland's leading civil contractors to appoint a Civil Estimator. This role has been designed specifically for a Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer looking to transition into estimating and pre-contracts, with mentoring from an experienced team.

No previous estimating experience? That's okay.

If you've built the work, we'll help you price it.

What You'll Be Doing

Working alongside the Lead Estimator and the National Estimating Manager, you'll help develop winning tenders across major infrastructure projects throughout Queensland and New South Wales.

Your responsibilities will include:

• First Principles estimating and quantity take-offs
• Construction methodologies and staging strategies
• Reviewing drawings and specifications
• Subcontractor and supplier pricing
• Procurement planning
• Risk and opportunity assessments
• Tender strategy and commercial support
• Working closely with Operations and Project Delivery teams

About You

You'll likely be a:

• Project Engineer
• Senior Project Engineer
• Civil Engineer looking for a new direction

With experience delivering projects such as:

• TMR / Main Roads
• Roads & Highways
• Bulk Earthworks
• Bridges & Structures
• Drainage & Utilities
• Major Civil Projects

You don't need to know how to estimate.

You do need to understand construction.
