Our client's remarkable success in the QLD market has paved the way for an exciting opportunity for a skilled and qualified hands-on site-based Safety Advisor to join our team. This exceptional role will allow a dedicated safety professional to utilise their extensive experience supporting our site staff, ensuring continuous compliance with all systems. In this role, you will actively champion safety on site and keep our impeccable safety record intact by assisting staff in implementing, training, and educating safety systems and processes.
About You:
- If you thrive on working with transport infrastructure projects ranging from $5-15m and can influence outcomes to achieve the best project results, this role is perfect for you!
- To be considered, you will need:
- Formal H&S and environmental qualifications (We take safety seriously while protecting the environment)
- The willingness and ability to travel to the project site during the week – North Brisbane location (Free transportation provided)
- Expertise in managing inspections and site audits, impressing client representatives
- Master the art of reviewing and managing incident reports, providing regulators with support and clarity (You'll be the Sherlock Holmes of safety)
- Lead inductions and project start meetings, captivating your audience with your safety wisdom
- Write comprehensive reports following procedures (Prepare to unleash your inner Hemingway of safety)
Requirements:
- A minimum of 2-4+ years of experience in road infrastructure under TMR specifications (You've got the construction expertise!)
- A comprehensive understanding of current Workplace Health and Safety legislation and regulations applicable to the construction industry (Safety is your middle name)
- Proven experience working within accredited systems (You're our safety rockstar!)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (You speak the language of safety fluently)
- Outstanding analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills (You're a safety superhero!)
- The successful applicant will work on projects in the Brisbane region. This position is ideal for individuals with a genuine passion for safety, a proactive approach, and excellent communication skills.
