Responsibilities:
- Ensure detailed tender submissions.
- Plan and coordinate allocated estimating resources for the tender to maximise success with the submission. Where required, prepare cost estimates and technical proposals for tender submissions directly within the scope of appropriate drawings, specifications, quantities and cost data.
- Ensure estimating resources fully understand their roles and responsibilities for compiling the tender
- Regularly communicate with Operations and Regional Managers to review all aspects of the tender, including Construction Methodology, Commercial/Technical Risks and Opportunities, Alternatives, Submission Documentation, Production Rates, Material and Subcontract Enquires and any Programming Requirements.
- Prepare tender Strategies – develop ‘winning’ strategies in Construction Methodology and Submission Requirements. Brainstorm.
- Construction Programming (Primavera P6);
- Preparation of tender schedules;
- Ensure tender deadlines are met.
- Analysis of tender documents.
- Scheduling engineering, procurement and construction activities.
COMPETENCIES
- Minimum 8+ years of relevant site-based delivery experience.
- Must hold a Bachelor's in civil engineering
- Sound negotiation and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication, verbal and written
- Primavera P6
- Creative and innovative thinking
- Relationship-building and influencing skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of civil transport infrastructure at a tier 1-2 level.
- Specialist knowledge of the tendering process and a sound understanding of plant and equipment.
- Ability to support bid phase.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and apply innovative but practical solutions to complex issues.
- Focussed on meeting objectives and timeframes through the use of Company processes.
- Competent in the use of relevant in-house software. Expert
